Koomoorl
(Babies)

Our Koomoorl room caters for children from the ages of 6 weeks to the age of 18 months. The Koomoorl room is designed to create a calming, nurturing environment to allow your child to develop their intellectual, physical, social and emotional skills. Every child is their own individual and have different interests and needs, routines will be followed as much as possible to allow your child to feel comfortable, familiar and secure.

Group and individual experiences are planned around children's routines, where children build on their social interactions and developing use of language. We provide a range of activities within the babies' room, where the children are able to explore and develop their skills and senses. These include painting with a variety of medias, using our hands and feet to explore surfaces and the way things feel different. We also encourage children to build on their self-help skills through hand washing, feeding, activities and play time.

If you are thinking of enrolling your baby into our service, we recommend coming in for orientation / play sessions with your child to ensure they become more familiar and comfortable with their new surroundings and educators. This will allow for a smooth transition into care.

Kooyar
(Toddlers)

As children move up from the Koomoorl room into the Kooyar room or are welcomed into our centre here for the first time, they begin to explore and develop in more complex ways. As children's confidence grows, their communication and developmental skills are becoming more complex. Our educators create interesting and exciting experiences for our toddlers that develop core skills that they will grow and continue to develop as they get older.

We focus our programme on children's interests that are discovered through observations and communicating with parents on a daily basis. Through this we are able to provide a curriculum that is of interest to the children whilst allowing them to learn and develop through a carefully planned programme. In our toddlers room, we also provide a range of experiences including music and dance, cooking and various sensory activities that help develop our skills and capture our curious minds. We provide rich environments that are welcoming and nurturing towards children's needs and development.

Yonka
(Kindergarten)

Our 'Yongka' room educators create exciting and educational programs to further your child's development and learning. We create a warm-welcoming learning environment that supports and promotes learning. We create different learning centres that are based around children's interests that will promote play and inquiry through intentional and unintentional teaching.

We explore visual arts and crafts, music and dance, science, maths, phonics and early writing through a range of activities and play. We aim to prepare your child for future schooling and work alongside schools that children already attend to keep consistency between us and your child's school program. Through communication with families, constant observation and assessment of our own teachings we are able to provide a programme to children that will best further their skills and development as they continue to grow and learn.

With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests. We provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities.
